Year of foundation, 1833.
The guided tour inside Cantine Florio is a journey which begins in front of the majestic giant vats, built at the end of the 1800's and still used for the aging of marsala. It then continues inside the 3 fascinating barrels, 165 meters long and interspersed by 104 arches, under which are lined up 1,400 barrels and about 600 between casks and vats of different capacities.
In those casks about 5,500,000 liters of marsala are kept,
After a tour through the barrel cellars, where the ancient tufa stone floor has been restored, visitors will enter the avant-garde Donna Franca and Duca Enrico tasting rooms.
Here visitors are welcomed by innovative spaces, where wine tasting becomes an evocative experience also thanks to the matching with a careful selection of typical foods.
