The Bertani Catullo vintage is a selection that closely reflects the wine's area of origin (DOC), the Novare vineyards in Valpolicella Classica, as well as the process of refermentation of the Amarone Classico skins. This label is a unique selection that represents the fine partnership between Valpolicella's immediacy and the aromatic complexity of Amarone.
In March, the traditional vinification process for this wine includes re-fermention on the marcs of Amarone Classico grapes. The marcs at this stage still retain a bit of sweetness to them, transmitted in the final result of the Catullo vintage.
The Catullo selection is the result of an encounter between two traditional Valpolicella wines. In this selection, we encounter a wine of great actuality, where elegance is the key features, and new nuances and combinations appear on the palate with each tasting.
Gentle, spicy notes of vanilla and chocolate are accompanied by notes of cherry, black cherry, and white pepper.
