"Iskra" is a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Reserve of the Maria Cvetic line from Masciarelli, born on the Aprilinian hills located between the Gran Sasso and the Adriatic Sea.
The harvest is done by hand, the alcoholic fermentation lasts 15/20 days, malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats, with 20/30 days of maceration.
Intense and structured, it recalls ripe red fruit, including candied cherries and berries. More evolved hints of licorice, leather and rhubarb are present. The body is wide, deep and warm, exalting a great freshness.
Established in 1981 by Gianni Masciarelli, this fine winery is today one of the leading brands in Abruzzo and counts 18 production lines: Classic Line, Gianni Masciarelli, Villa Gemma, Marina Cvetic, and Castello di Semivicoli.
