Description

The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Reserve "Marina Cvetic" is indisputably Masciarelli's most famous label. Born from the entrepreneurial genius of Gianni Masciarelli in San Martino sulla Marrucina, in the province of Chieti, Masciarelli is one of the most historical and established companies in Italy's wine scene.

The first time that Masciarelli produced this Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC Riserva was back in 1997. The name is a sweet tribute by Gianni to the woman who changed his life forever: Marina Cvetic.

The grapes of this Reserve come from eight municipalities divided into three different provinces, including the infamous cru of Colle di Paolo, Fonte Filippo, Schiavone and Colle Rosina.

The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva "Marina Cvetic" ages in barrique for 12 months and for 6 more months in bottle.  Decidedly powerful on the nose, with scents of black cherries, jams and Mediterranean scrub, the palate is warm, soft, full and complex, with an enveloping and elegant tannin.
