Discovering the Beatesca wine estate in Montalcino, tasting the Brunello di Montalcino 2015
Gleaning inspiration from their own daughters, the owners of the Beatesca winery estate are the proud producers of one of Montalcino area’s finest Brunello di Montalcino wine producers. Located in a particularly bright and sunny part of the Montalcino wine region, the Beatesca producers certainly are enriched by their lands and the terroir under the feet.
Beatesca is an elegant expression of the Montalcino’s natural beauty, and Furio and Benedetta, the Beatesca winery’s owners and founders have devoted themselves body and soul to regenerating and reconstructing this vineyard, which has always been a part of their family business but risked disappearing due to disuse.
Since 1991, it’s been back in full swing, with the family’s close attention and assistance from external enologists. With their guidance, the Beatesca winery is heading towards a bright future, transforming its current production to an environmentally-conscious winery.
The estate is converting to biodynamic production, and is devoted to reflecting the Montalcino countryside into its wines. So attentive to the Montalcino fauna and flora, one of the winery’s most cherished labels is even named after the Ilex, a variety of native Oak tree from which Montalcino eventually extracted its own name.
Nothing could be closer to the land than the Beatesca wines, and the notion of poetry expressed in liquid form has found a home in the Beatesca Brunello di Montalcino wines.
