Nothing quite hits the spot like an universally beloved classic Italian recipe like Pizza. I'd like to introduce you to the Calzone, an offspring of our much-adored Pizza family, and I think you'll grow to be as fond of (if not more) Cousin Calzone as you already are of traditional Italian pizza.
Growing up, we had pizza at least once a week to satisfy our cravings for delicious Italian food that could also fall into the comfort food zone just as easily as being a gourmet snack.
And when the calzone was carefully placed in front of me, cutting it open and releasing that gorgeous steam is a food-based memory I hope to keep with me for a long time - family dinners around your own table can be so enriched with this different Pizza approach.
