Chocolate and hazelnuts are a power couple like Fred and Ginger, Stan and Ollie, and Salt and Pepper. It's a tried, true classic, and for all sweet-tooths out there, a terrific way to make an already delicious dessert even more decadent.
Redolent of a Nutella filling (thanks to the minor presence of Nutella or chocolate hazelnut spread as part of your ingredient list), this version of a creme patisserie but with an Italian flair will certainly work its way into your cake filling files for when you want an Italian touch.
A simple hazelnut pastry cream, or a chocolate pastry cream filling alone is a special treat to enjoy, but when paired together, your cakes and cream puffs and other specialty desserts will simply soar with your quick Rocher Pastry cream filling recipe.
Hey, if you find yourself eating it out of the bowl, with a spoon, we will not judge your need to taste your results. We might have done the same thing ourselves.
