Description

Charming and pleasing, this blush-pink wine has gleaned its heritage right from its vines.  Cerasuolo enjoys an innate elegance and refreshing nature that has led to a natural admiration from wine enthusiasts.  At home both in aperitvo form and when paired with a pizza night with friends, Cerasuolo also blossoms when paired with seafood, first courses, smoked meats, charcuterie, and mildly-aged cheese boards.

Delicate, fruity, piercing yet refreshing - this is the simple description of Cerasuolo’s bouquet.  Its welcoming pink color is a classic call for summer to start, and it’s no coincidence that Cerasuolo was the first Rosato denomination in Italy to be recognized.

Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo wines are obtained from the Montepulciano vines following a specific vinification technique:  interaction time with grape skins during the fermentation times is strictly regulated, or producers follow the “in bianco” vinification method instead.

Cerasuolo’s soft, dry, delicate and harmonious flavor lingers with a slight almond-like aftertaste.  The wine’s charming cherry-pink color holds within it a sensuous, fruity bouquet both refined and intense.  The combination of elegance and extraordinary freshness make this wine a particularly intriguing selection.
